CITY OF BIRMINGHAM RAMBLERS GROUP
Discover heritage and history on some of our Thursday and Saturday short walks (arranged using public transport), which often include elements of historical interest. Recent such walks have been the “Historic Erdington” urban walk, canal heritage at “Hatton Locks to Leamington Spa walk” and “Heartlands Canal Loop”, parks and villages such as “Elmdon Park Heritage Trail” and “Bournville Village” and countryside areas such as historic “Sutton Park”.

Birmingham Ramblers are an ethnically diverse group with a mature membership that is young at heart and welcoming to all. Although based in Birmingham, our walks vary from the local to the distant. Short and easy walks in the West Midlands area, on Thursdays and Saturdays (3-5 miles). Longer walks on Sundays, usually by coach, in Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Staffordshire, and further afield, to Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Shropshire, Peak District, Wales, etc (7-, 10- and 12-mile options). We also offer Wednesday pub lunch walks of around 7 miles.

There is no charge to join our walks (except for the coach fare on Sundays). New walkers are most welcome to join for some taster walks before we would request joining The Ramblers Association charity. All our walks can be found on the website, where there are links to book places.
